This
year Pete will be returning as our full time Coaching Director. He has extensive
experience both as a player and as a Coach. Pete played fours years at St.
Joseph's Metuchen High School before attending the University of Delaware. He is
a certified level four coach and has participated in several coaching clinics
and seminars. Pete coached the Jersey Penguins Bantam team for two years before
moving to Woodbridge to coach the Midget team with the Wings. He was recognized
as a leader and asked to join the staff of the Jersey Wildcats Junior program.
Under his direction, the Wildcat team finished second in the league one point
out of first place. Pete was chosen to be one of the coaches for the League’s
All Star Team. His Wildcat team stormed into the playoffs and went on to win
the Mid Atlantic Development League championship. As a result of winning the
championship, his team was invited to play up and participate in the Junior
National finals in Philadelphia. The team played very competitively winning one
game against older and more talented teams. His team was recognized by USA
hockey for being able to compete at an advanced level. Peter then returned to
Woodbridge to start up the Wolfpack organization. He has been instrumental in
building this club into a quality organization focusing on developing the
players both on and off the ice. |
